FIREPROOF
Wow, what a breath of fresh air. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, see it. Please.
Do you think the world needs change? Are you saddened by the moral decay of this generation? If so, join me in supporting a movie that pinpoints a huge root in the problems we see today: Marriage. Why marriage? Because what messes most people the most is their own family. It’s not schools or peer pressure or crime or poverty that really messes people up. It starts in the family. And if we can protect marriage as a sacred covenent in our society, we can protect families, and if we can protect families, we can and will see change in this next generation.
So, if you haven’t seen it already, go see it.
It’s a beautiful, beautiful story. You won’t be sorry. I promise.

I saw it.
Ooh it sounds so good, I can’t wait to have the money to rent it
gabi’s last blog post..this made my heart smile.
I saw it and, while the topic was so very necessary and the idea was fantastic, I think they could’ve done better with a full length feature. It’s like every scene was turned into a small little devotional about something they figured was important. They didn’t really connect the emotional content with the expression of the film itself, meaning that to me the filmmakers wanted so badly to make sure the devotional content was there that they didn’t pay enough attention to character and story development. So while I enjoyed the movie well enough knowing that the story was important, I remember thinking, “I’m not sure that my non-Christian friends would take this movie seriously.”
Rick’s last blog post..My Bucket List
You’re absolutely right about marriage/family being the cornerstone for resolving the problems of our modern society. Growing up, I thought the values my parents instilled in me were “common sense” to everyone else, but with crime, greed, and anger rampant in our society, I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I’ve not seen a movie in a while, so this will definitely be one of the first ones I look into.
Tamara: Way to go! Did you like it?
Gabi: It’s definitely worth the money. I know you’ll like it!
Rick: I can definitely see where you’re coming from. Sure, there’s always something we can find in almost everything in life that could have been tweaked or improved. But man… they did one heck of a job and even if Christians are the only ones who “get it” or are touched by it, I’d say it was worth it. Christians are just as bad as non-Christians when it comes to divorce. And that is just plain SAD…. and pitiful.
Rishi: You are one of the most common sensical people I know! It’s nice to know that there are people out there who are both highly educated AND know how to think for themselves.
