Climate Change? part II
That was fun. Thank you, Gabi, Emily and Rick, for sharing your wisdom. I agree a lot with all three of you.
You [God] put us in charge of everything You made, giving us authority over all things — the sheep and the cattle and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. -Psalm 8:6-8 (NLT)
Like Gabi said, God made us stewards of this earth. He didn’t make us equals with animals or water or trees or anything else. Yesterday, I saw this video and it greatly disturbed me:

Climate Change?
I don’t believe in global warming and climate change anymore than I believe in aliens. And though much of what I base that belief on is scientific facts, it’s the Biblical side of the equation that makes my hair stand up when I hear people, especially Christians, talk about the issue. Somehow people, though they hate God and refuse to worship Him, are so in awe of His creation that they actually worship it. But it’s not limited to non-Christians. Christians do it too. And that’s what disturbs me.

I have an Idea…
I just got an idea that’s either really brilliant or really crazy or really cheeky. I don’t know which. But I’m willing to find out.
I’ve been applying for a lot of jobs these past few weeks. And for a while, I was sending the same cover letter to everyone. But then, I realized how lazy and impersonal that was…. so, I made each cover letter individually geared towards the job I was applying for. Well, that tactic doesn’t seem like it’s working so well either.

What America Really Needs: Common Sense
The condition of this great nation saddens me.
In Matthew 24:12, Jesus said that in the last days lawlessness would abound. Lawlessness means: uncontrolled, unbridled, unruly, unrestrained, without regard to the law. Around September of last year, I became acutely aware of the lawlessness in this country. Before then, I’m sure it was there. It just wasn’t as visible. But boy, when you bring politics into the picture, a lot of hidden stuff becomes blatantly clear. Such was the case around September of last year.

FIREPROOF
Wow, what a breath of fresh air. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, see it. Please.
Do you think the world needs change? Are you saddened by the moral decay of this generation? If so, join me in supporting a movie that pinpoints a huge root in the problems we see today: Marriage. Why marriage? Because what messes most people the most is their own family. It’s not schools or peer pressure or crime or poverty that really messes people up. It starts in the family. And if we can protect marriage as a sacred covenent in our society, we can protect families, and if we can protect families, we can and will see change in this next generation.

Finding My Voice
Mouth open and panting,
I wanted Your commands more than anything.
Turn my way, look kindly on me,
as You always do to those who personally love You.
Steady my steps with Your Word of promise
so nothing malign gets the better of me.
Rescue me from the grip of bad men and women
so I can live life Your way.
Smile on me, Your servant;
teach me the right way to live.
I cry rivers of tears
because nobody’s living by Your Book!

Get Your House in Order.
It doesn’t get any more clear than this:
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?”
Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

12-year-old girl speaks out about Abortion
Meet Lia. She’s a 12-year-old seventh grader that recently decided to make a courageous stand in her school by giving a persuasive speech on the topic of abortion. Even when her teachers strongly encouraged her to choose a different topic, she decided to stick with what she felt passionate about. An email from her mother describes what led Lia to make such a bold move.
